A celebration of the spirit and determination that made people give up their lives in countries around the world to come to America in search of The American Dream. The Wall Street Journal called it “An impressive 90-minutes.” Shot on location around the United States, the stories come from a recent immigrant from Sierra Leon, Chicano American Cheech Marin and others and remind us of the bounty we enjoy as Americans and the struggles of those who came before us. Along with the program Santa Fe published a companion book “They Came to America: Finding Your Immigrant Ancestors.”
