In this beautiful program about four women writers who ventured into the heart of the Grand Canyon down the Colorado River. It features Linda Ellerbee, journalist and television producer; and writers and poets Denise Chavez, Barbara Thomas, and Ruth Kirk. The program is inspired by Kathleen Jo Ryan’s book of the same name. The writers traveled 226 miles on river rafts. I the program they speak of their fears and transformation during their journey and the renewal that comes from this journey.
